Currently, I am studying sociology ( on religion)
It interesting how people differing views on religion
Marx said religion is illusion
Durkhem says religions holds society together.
The funniest thing is that all their theories make sense to all of us.
(Truly, they have proven the link that why their theories is true.)

However, Marx wanted communism yet the system failed.
Durkhem says religion holds society together but clearly
it has become a source of tension for many people/countries.
Yet, Christianity has lived longer than communism.
Christianity is more than a religion, it is a relationship with God.
and no. I do not deny there are sources of conflict within this doctrine itself.
But, I think most of us were restricted by the man-made term called religion.
Religion can never satisfy your heart-it cannot and will not answer what is your purpose in your life. Neither can it fill up this empty feeling that you always wanted to get rid of, and the eternal onslaught of question of why am I bornt on earth. That there's got to be something more in life feeling.

It can only be satisfied if you know God yourself.
A relationship.
Like how you enjoyed your company friends.
What more with God?

Financial Turmoil, Political Disturbances, 19 years old dying/almost died.
So much for mediating what's on my mind what's pure and good.
Haha!

There's going to be much more than life amen?
I honestly felt that Singaporeans kids are all too well-sheltered
and yes including me!
We are really the spoiltbrat generation.
Look at what's going on earth right now,
we may feel a teeny weeny impact
in terms of lesser jobs, lesser comfort.
But what about wanting to change the world?
We just brush it aside think we are too small for it.

I am so thankful I am changing the world one at a time.
Yes, it is tedious and everyone is thinking it will not bear fruit.
But, I feel so assured that what is in me will not be taken away from me
-the significance of my life.

I've lots of visitors in my blog huh!
HAHA

and gurvin!! i love you lots too dear =)
and tty, i know you love me too. i love the sushi you given me.
LOL polly!
i love you too melody.
So much love for me eh?

I felt my life is so blessed with so many loves!
haha.
Jiayi went to London.
Uber sad. First time felt some sort of separation/attachment with someone.
Btw, if you do not know Jiayi,
she's the one who first integrated me
made me feel loved =)
when I was super nonsense.
HAHA

While doing some cards or Jiayi, saw lots of unfamilar faces,
faces of some who have left,
faces of some who went on to do greater things for the Lord.
I know how much it felt to be at the crossroad,
but I am thankful that each time I chose to stay
because I never knew a Home like this.

Sometimes, you will feel jaded
and feel that church taking a whole lot of your time
and that all you wanted is time for yourself.
and even sometime, is it worth it doing all this?
But, step back and think again
is there really a place like Home?
Some people cannot take the radicalism
but really it is more like they never dreamt to be idealistic before.
If you are idealistic,
you will never think we are a bunch of crazy fools brainwashed by pastors.

I took almost 2 hours to travel to church yesterday
and yea I know most people will think it's a waste of time
but my heart just wants to go church so badly.
I just want to go Home.

Just reading this email from NUS counselling session:
(Little known facts)
-1 million people die by suicide worldwide each year
-In S'pore, about 1 person commits suicide each day
-In S'pore, suicide is one of the top 3 causes of death among youths aged 15 to 35 years, which includes university students.

That quite sad huh. 1 million.
imagine 1 million souls who love God with all heart and soul instead.

Hi guys! I have been quite busy to update on blogs nowadays. Haha.
Life rocks as usual and I've been thinking a lot recently.

Here are some of my thoughts
(and it was in the middle of my Econs lect)
Why are people so afraid of failures?
I mean to think about it
we have about 70 years of our lives
so what if we fail?
70 years of our lives
there sure be events happening
and more than often
we actually have more than enough time to fail and try again

Take failing A's for eg
we can just take it for another year right?

The reason we are afraid of failures is because
most people have this mentality once they fail
(says the As for eg)
then they will just keep on failing in lives.
(fail in As-->fail in career-->fail in finding gd spouse-->fail in family-->fail in life)

But, I am not not afraid of failing
I am afraid of not being faithful.
Cuz sometimes, I know there will be failures
despite trying all your best, with all your heart and soul
yet man can still fail.
Like for instance A's exams again
We can do all things on the earth(TYS,extra consultations w teachers, tuitions and more TYS and TYS) just to do well for A's
yet we might not do well for A's.
(btw, my fear of failures was referred to the fear of failures despite hard work because if failure without hardwork, then it is no one's fault except yours.)

But, I know once you faithful to the smallest things in life
you will be successful.
most of the time man keep failing not because they failed one major exams
but because they failed to be faithful
(for eg the faithfulness to cont believing you can do well in As the next time you tried it and the faithfulness to keep trying your TYS and TYS and more TYS.)

Talking about failures & success.
I was thinking randomly it would be so scary if I got kicked out of University
I would just lose my whole purpose/meaning in life.
But Pastor brought up a very good point.
Man always gets confused with purpose in life and success.

For e.g, my purpose in life is to be a doctor and and go to Third World C'try and heal all the sick and poor
so does it mean one day i retire as a doctor, i have lost my purpose in life?

So many people are just tired of this Singaporean rat race
but the irony is that they never want to stop and find their purpose.

Success, Failure, Purpose
They just keep swimming in my head.

It is quite freaky to think
I probably will live up till say 2050?
20 years of my lives are nearly gone
have i achieved anything worthy?
at least I know I have found it
To glorify the One who gave all for me.
