Sometimes, I think university people just think too much.
I definitely enjoyed studying sociology.
I definitely enjoyed reading quotes that gives me faith, hope and love in humanity.
Why? Because it is intellectually stimulating and it can reconcile what we feel about the reality.
BUT, few would go down and plow through it to really bring faith, hope and love.

For that, I am really grateful to Pastors

I am annoyed with Singapore Media.
Let me explain my reasons.
If you read today's newspaper about Olivia Cho's slimming advertisement.
You realise it wrote there that 'the before photo' was taken in May this year.
However, the photo was obviously taken years ago after her Idol win and I remembered it because there was the big hullabaloo of her undergoing slimming treatment.
Come on people, don't be deceived by the press and the image of slimming. -.-

Also for the swimming sports issue, I am sure the media loves to sensationalize the most trivial comment. I am sure the president and the coach did not feel guilty enough over the issue and the whole media sensationalise when the president said it was okay. The fact was it was okay but what was the president tone and what was his heart? Perhaps he wants to get over the whole issue? Maybe he did not want Ang to feel bad as he already had?
(Perhaps they don't feel guilty at all, I am not saying I am correct because I do not understand but I just feel there is an alternative of view.)

Singapore press needs to stop thinking they are superior in their thoughts. It is like an elitist mindset.

Please, critical thinking is not to criticise only, it is to THINK through all the perspectives and stick with 1 stand and write about it. We need to be responsible writers; find out what's wrong and find solutions and move on. The irony is that if we don't train up critical thinkers, stop complaining that we are complainers.

And yes, it irks me so much that I started blogging about it.
